A working laser bench costs $1,817.98 today at Amazon's cheapest in-stock prices: machine, extraction and eye protection, summed live.

Both totals, the method, and what the total leaves outThe full arithmetic, dated, in one paragraph

Laser Oracle prices a working laser bench from live Amazon listings, refreshed every three hours. A working bench is three purchases, not one: the machine, something to get the smoke out of the room, and eye protection rated for the wavelength the machine emits. Summing the cheapest in-stock listing in each line, the entry price today is $1,817.98. Taking instead the listing Amazon's own category placement ranks highest in each line, the total is $921.29. Both sums are our arithmetic on Amazon's prices, and each line below links to the listing behind it. What the total still leaves out is the running cost: extraction filters saturate, CO2 tubes and diode modules wear, and lenses pit. Laser Oracle does not test machines; every figure here is a live listing value, dated when it was read.

What this total does not include

What the machine costs to keep running. Extraction filters saturate and stop working with no visible change, glass CO2 tubes are rated in operating hours and dim before they fail, and lenses pit. A rotary is a further purchase the moment you want to engrave anything curved. The running-costs page carries those figures, sourced and dated.

How these builds were pricedThe screening, the arithmetic, and what we do not do

Each line is a live Amazon listing: published, in stock, photographed, priced by the Product Advertising API within the last few hours. The floor takes the cheapest such listing per line; the better-placed build takes the one Amazon’s own category placement ranks highest within the budget. The totals are our addition and are labelled as ours. Laser Oracle does not test machines and no brand pays for placement. Guide copy last reviewed 2026-08-12.

Why add extraction and glasses to the price of the machine?
Because the machine on its own is not a working setup. Cutting produces smoke that has to leave the room, and an open-frame machine emits laser light at the height of your face. Both are purchases you will make in the first week, so leaving them out of the total makes the cheap machine look cheaper than it is.
Can I skip the extractor if I open a window?
Moving air out of the room is the goal, and an inline fan ducted through a window does it more effectively than a filter unit and with no consumable. What does not work is an open window on its own, because nothing is pulling the smoke toward it. Filtration exists for rooms with no exterior wall.
Do the glasses need to match the machine?
Yes. Safety glasses are filters tuned to a wavelength range, so a pair for a CO2 machine and a pair for a fiber machine block different light and are not interchangeable. Eyewear with no stated wavelength and no optical density figure is tinted plastic, whatever it is sold next to.
