Every figure behind this guide, sourced and datedThe full finding: counts, ordering, and the spec nobody prints

Laser Oracle tracks 8 laser machines in stock on Amazon today, with prices from the Amazon Product Advertising API refreshed every three hours, starting at $1,599.99. The list is ordered by Amazon's own category placement rather than by our preference; the best-placed machine currently sits at #35 in Industrial Machines. 5 of them carry a full sourced review here, with the workspace requirement, licence cost and software compatibility read from each manufacturer's own pages. The gap a buyer should know about: of the reviewed machines in this bracket, none publishes an optical output figure, as distinct from the wattage on the box. Laser Oracle does not test machines: every figure on this page is a live listing value or a quotation from a manufacturer document, dated when it was read.

“Price-tracked only” means we hold the live listing but have not yet sourced the manufacturer’s specification sheet for it.

How this list was builtThe screen, the ordering, and what we do not do

The screen is mechanical: every machine we track on Amazon that is in stock, carries a live price, and is not a duplicate listing. The order is Amazon’s own category placement, read from the Product Advertising API and refreshed every three hours. Laser Oracle does not test machines and has no preference to encode; where a unit has a full review here, the review quotes the manufacturer’s own documents with the date each was read. Guide copy last reviewed 2026-08-14.

What thickness will a CO2 laser cut in one pass?
It scales with tube wattage, and the figure worth asking for is single-pass thickness in the material you actually use. Manufacturers publish cutting charts for plywood and acrylic at their own tube ratings, and those two materials are the ones nearly every chart covers. Where a maker publishes a chart we record what it says and the date we read it, rather than restating a general rule that does not survive contact with a different plywood.
How long does a CO2 tube last, and what does replacing it cost?
A glass tube is a consumable with a rated service life in operating hours, which makes it a running cost rather than a repair. That is the single biggest difference between owning a CO2 machine and owning a fiber or diode one, since a fiber source is rated in tens of thousands of hours and is effectively not a consumable at all. The rated life and the replacement price both belong in the five-year total, which is what the running-cost page on this site is for.
Does a CO2 laser cut metal?
No, and the listings that imply otherwise are describing marking coated metal. A CO2 tube will mark anodised or painted surfaces and will engrave through a coating, but it does not cut sheet steel or aluminium. The industrial machines that cut metal are fiber cutters at power levels that are not sold on Amazon and not comparable to anything here. If the job is bare metal, the metal guide on this site lists the machines that actually do it.
Does a CO2 laser need water cooling and extraction?
A glass-tube machine needs both, and neither is optional. The tube runs in a water loop, which means either a bundled chiller or one bought separately, and the loop has to be maintained. Cutting produces continuous smoke that has to leave the room. Neither requirement is a defect: they are what a machine that cuts through material rather than marking a surface involves, and pricing a CO2 machine without them understates it.
How is this list ordered, and have you tested these?
By Amazon’s own category placement, refreshed through the day, and no, we have not run these machines. What Laser Oracle adds is the sourced specification layer underneath the listing: tube wattage as the maker defines it, working area, and whether cooling and extraction are included or assumed. Every price here came from Amazon within the last three hours.
